jongleur is a voice x percussion duo that creates immersive spiritual soundscapes for prayer, meditation, or simply, auditory enjoyment.

Vocal artist Julia Anne Cordani crafts immersive soundscapes inspired by figures on the margins of Christian theology and mysticism. Percussion artist James Koo dedicates much of his practice to the study of ritualistic practices, pulling from his roots in traditional Chinese percussion and engagement with the contemporary repertoire of the 20th-21st century. After meeting in UCSD’s contemporary performance DMA program, the two formed a duo in 2025. Together, they create a new body of work for voice and percussion by mediating ancient spirituality through modern experimental, improvisational, and electronic techniques.
